One person is in the hospital after a two-vehicle collision northbound on the Highway 400 near Major Mackenzie, according to police.

The Ontario Provincial Police says all lanes are blocked northbound from Major Mackenzie to Teston Road due to a serious collision.

Police later confirmed that the victim is in serious, but stable, condition.

Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
