Durham Regional Police (DRPS) are on the scene of a jewellery store robbery at the Pickering Town Centre.

Around 2 p.m., DRPS tweeted there would be a large police presence in the area for an ongoing investigation.

The robbery happened at the Peoples Jewellers in the mall.

No further details have been released.
