A child seen alone in the Creditview Road and Eglinton Avenue West area has been found, Peel police say.

Police tell CityNews a driver spotted the child in the middle of the road and called police around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

By the time officers arrived, the child was gone. The child was later located several hours later.

Peel police thanked media and the public for their help in locating the child.
