A man in his 70s has died after being struck by a vehicle in North York on Sunday afternoon.

Toronto police were called to the Keele Street and Densley Avenue area, south of Lawrence Avenue, just before 3 p.m. for reports that a pedestrian had been struck.

Paramedics tell CityNews an elderly man was taken to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

In an update Sunday night, police said the 76-year-old man died of his injuries.

Police said the driver of the vehicle, a red pickup truck, remained at the scene for the investigation.
