A motorcyclist has suffered serious injuries following a crash in Markham.

Police in York Region say they were called to the Woodbine Avenue and John Street area just after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday for reports of a crash involving a motorcycle and a truck.

Police say the male motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. His age was not immediately available.
