A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Etobicoke Tuesday evening.

Officers were called to Scarlett Road and Scarlettwood Court to reports of a shooting. Toronto police later said the victim had been stabbed, not shot.

A male in his 20s was taken to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

No suspect information has been released.
