The Toronto Police Service Homicide unit is looking into a death that happened near High Park late Friday afternoon.
Officers were called to Glenlake Avenue and High Park Avenue just before 6 p.m. for reports of a female located with injuries. She was transported to the hospital and later pronounced dead.
Duty Insp. Errol Watson says officers arrived and found a woman injured inside a vehicle.
The identity of the woman has not been released.
Watson says the investigation is still in its early stages to provide details around the woman’s injuries.
“But I can tell you, the victim was having an interaction with a male, and that male was seen leaving the area,” said Watson.
The exact cause of death is still unknown, and the homicide unit has taken over the investigation.
