A woman in her 70s has suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Forest Hill.

Toronto police say the incident occurred in the Spadina Road and Heath Street West area just before 6:30 p.m. Friday.

Photos from the scene appear to show a taxi cab involved in the crash.

Paramedics tell CityNews a woman was taken to a trauma centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators say the driver remained at the scene.
