Thousands of schools across Southern Ontario will be closed on Monday as a massive winter storm is expected to dump 60 cm of snow on Toronto and the GTA.
In light of the forecasts, many secondary schools have rescheduled final exams to January 29.
Below is a full list of school closures.
City of Toronto:
- Toronto District School Board: All schools closed Monday.
- Toronto Catholic District Board: All schools closed Monday.
York Region:
- York Region District School Board: All schools closed Monday.
- York Region Catholic District School Board: All schools closed Monday.
Peel Region:
- Peel District School Board: All schools closed Monday.
- Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board: All schools closed Monday.
Durham Region:
- Durham District School Board: All schools closed Monday.
- Durham Catholic District School Board: All schools closed Monday.
Halton Region:
- Halton District School Board: All schools are closed Monday.
- Halton Catholic District School Board: All schools are closed Monday.
Post-Secondary Schools:
- University of Toronto; St. George campus is open Monday; Mississauga campus closed Monday; Scarborough campus closed Monday.
- Toronto Metropolitan University (update expected at 6 a.m.)
- York University (update expected at 5 a.m.)
- McMaster University (update expected at 5:30 a.m.)
- Humber College and University of Guelph-Humber (update expected at 5:30 a.m.)
- George Brown College closed Sunday.
- Sheridan College (update expected at 6:30 a.m.)
- Seneca College some operations closed Sunday.
- Centennial College closed Sunday.
Other school closures:
- St. Michael’s College School is closed Monday.
- Tyndale University is closed Monday.
- Conseil scolaire Mon Avenir has closed schools in Toronto, Peel, Halton, York, Durham and Peterborough.
- Conseil scolaire Viamonde has closed schools in Niagara, Hamilton, Guelph, Orangeville, Peel, Halton, Toronto and York.
